Rio Suzuki finished her BFA with a concentration on drawing and painting at University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2011. She received her MFA in Visual Arts from Lesley University, College of Art and Design in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 2015. Her MFA graduate piece was featured on advertisement page for Lesley University, College of Art and Design, which printed in Art in America, and Artscope in 2015. In 2016 her work received the Award of Excellence, Best in Show at the Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce's Commitment to Excellence Exhibition. Her works exhibited extensively in Honolulu including Honolulu Museum of Art at First Hawaiian Center, Koa Gallery, Cedar Street Galleries, and Ars Cafe. She originally came from Osaka, Japan and currently works and lives in Honolulu.
